What do I do with leftover charcoal and briquettes?

What’s left in the bag you just save for next time, of course, but the question relates to the charcoal and briquettes that survived the barbecue. You keep that, too. Let them cool overnight and then put them in a plastic bag that you tie very tightly. Then shake very well to knock off the ash. The chunks are then fine to use again next time.

Too little or too much charcoal (briquettes) are things you will run into in the beginning. Gradually, however, you learn to estimate the right amount fairly accurately.
