Corn is part of the staple food in many parts of the world. Although corn production exceeds that of wheat and rice, only a portion of the yield is consumed directly by people. The vast majority is used as animal feed. Even in North America, where they are absolutely lyrical about corn and incorporate it into anything and everything. Like in bread, porridge, chips, cereal, pancakes, syrup, popcorn and not to mention “corn on the cob.
